A letter from Jesus to the young
My dear young friend,
You are very precious to me. I know you well. I want you to get to know me.
I think of you and look out for you every day. Do you think of me?
I want you to help me during this Lent. I want you to work with me.
And I want you to make the most of yourself.
I am saddened to see people trying to deceive you and lead you away from me.. They are doing you no favours.
It breaks my heart when I see you getting hurt.
I want to share my ideals and my truth with you.
I want to lead you to be a happy, kind, lovely person.
You’re made in my image, you know. We should be very alike.
I want to protect you from all the pitfalls. Will you let me?
During Lent will you talk with me every day and let me talk to you?
Will you come to meet me regularly at Mass?
Will you do one good deed every day, which you don’t have to do?
Will you say “No” to everything you know to be wrong?
Will you get a Trocaire Box and put something in it most days for the poor?
Will you be my real friend and help me to carry on my work?
I need you. Together we can do great things.
Your forever friend,Jesus

FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

Lenten Challenge

If you haven't yet decided what to do for Lent this year, how about easing up
on some of the negative thoughts we all indulge in.

The following might help....
Sit for a few minutes each morning and ask yourself the following questions,
giving time for answers to emerge.
What am I happy about right now? What else could I be happy about?
What am I excited about? What else could I be excited about?
What am I proud of? What else could I be proud of?
What am I grateful for? What else could I be grateful for?
What do I really enjoy in life? What am I committed to?
You might be surprised what a difference this makes to you and the people around you!
