The
16th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Prayer for Liam,
Bishop Elect
Lord, we pray
for Liam, our Bishop –Elect.
Help him to be a wise teacher,
a kindly pastor, a builder of faith.
Fill his life and work with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Be his guiding light and constant help all our days.
We pray for all the people of our diocese.
Make us firm in our faith,
generous on our love,
Faithful on our prayer.
Help us to work together to give glory to You
and love to all others.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
A Prayer for Life’s Journey
God, our Father,
give us a deep and lasting gratitude
for all that we have received
We thank you for our families in which we receive life
and love,
for our parishes in which we receive a sense of Christian
belonging.
We thank you for our diocese in which we receive
a rich tradition of faith and worship,
for our Church which unites us
with your Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
May we travel on our pilgrim journey through life
in communion with You and in community with your people,
Amen.
