Time of our Lives

According to various experts we are having the “time of our lives”. We have never had it so good. Yet despite all the wealth and materialism there have never been so many discontented and unhappy people.

If you ask people they will tell you that one of the main things they lack is TIME! The demands on people’s time leads to a treadmill-like mentality, a never ending round of work, family, leisure, social routine, which does not bring true happiness.

Have you ever given thought to the One who is responsible for time itself?
Have you got time for God, Time for a personal relationship with Him?
Thankfully He has time for us, and wants us to have that relationship with him. He sent Jesus into the world to die for us. Jesus by his dying on the cross at Calvary, provided all that was necessary for our salvation. After enduring the indignity of a mock trial, and the humiliation and torture of the Roman soldiers, Jesus spent the time required by God on the cross for us. In the darkness, in unimaginable agony and in total isolation from His Father, Jesus paid the price for our sins.

It is important to know that our time is in God’s hands. We live and exist at His discretion. Our time will end when he decides. For this reason it is important that we are ready to meet him now. It is a solemn thought that we are within a heartbeat of eternity. One minute living in time, the next in eternity before God.
What would you say to Him if you were to meet Him now?

The Family that prays together
Stays together.

Father, you promised that there would be
Faith and Strength and Hope to meet life’s problems.
Father, give that strength to those whose
Anxieties have buried their dreams,
whose illnesses have hospitalized their hopes,
whose burdens are bigger than their shoulders.
