Lent
The ceremony
of reception of ashes manifests the churches willingness
to undergo penance. Penance and conversion are constant
themes in scripture. Lent calls us to inner change;
a turning away from sin, a rejection of all that is
evil in our lives, a turning point to God. Taking on
this task of personal renewal prepares us to celebrate
Easter with fresh joy.
Lent begins on
Wed Feb 25th. Ashes will be blessed and distributed
at the
following masses:
Clones:
7.30am, 10am, & 7pm
