Reflection
“Let justice roll down
like rivers, and righteousness
like a mighty stream”
The 5th of June marked the 40th anniversary
of Israel’s occupation of Palestinian lands. Over
the course of that occupation the human rights &
humanitarian situation of Palestinians has deteriorated
significantly. Violence & loss of life has affected
communities on all sides of the conflict. Real action
& immediate change is needed to build a just &
lasting peace.
Let us remember to pray for those
living in the Holy Land after 40 years off Occupation.
We know as Christians that there is hope in God &
there is a path to justice & peace. Yet we ask “how
long O Lord”
O loving God
We remember the injured who fight for their life,
We remember the captives who yearn for freedom,
We remember the deportees who long for the homeland.
We remember towns, villages & camps that are often
under siege.
We remember the children whose eyes reflect the light
of the future,
We remember the brave who say “no” to injustice,
We lift the olive branch which says “yes”
to a just peace.

Love
Yourself
We need to love ourselves. Accept yourself - love yourself
as you are, not as you might have been or might be.
Be kind to yourself and you will be kind to others:
let others be kind to you and you’ll be kind to
yourself. Allow others be compassionate to you and you
will look on yourself with love - and that’s how
God looks on you.
