Easter Sunday, The Resurrection of the Lord

The Magnificent Truth
The magnificent Truth
- for each of us
Who really cares
to find out,
Is that the Person
who masterminded all creation
Was once breathing,
sleeping and eating
On this planet Earth,
just as you and I are…
Happy Easter
To all our Parishioners
New Beginnings
Easter Sunday
is our new beginning. The first moment of a new history
for humankind. Before daybreak a new light entered the
world. This light radiates the dawn and transforms our
daily living. Jesus’ death on the cross liberated
us from sin and his resurrection opens up for us the
way to a new life. This new life is the freedom we have
to the life in the power of the Holy Spirit. Each day
we have an opportunity to keep in step with the Spirit.
Our goal in life is to produce the fruits of the Spirit:
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self control.
‘Lord Jesus,
we praise and glorify your name because our old history
ends with your cross; our new history begins with your
resurrection’
Sometimes when
we feel sad, depressed and hopeless, along comes someone
or something that lifts us from our pain. This is the
experience of the Risen Lord in our lives. God is not
about to abandon us just because we don't feel well
or worthy. God comes to us every moment of our lives,
whether we’re happy or sad. In the person of Jesus
Christ we have that friend we have always wanted - someone
who will stand by us and still love us no matter what.
So if your unhappy about your life just have a chat
in the privacy of your heart with the Risen Lord. Take
a few moments and be still. Let Jesus know what’s
on your mind. Ask for help, he gives it. Pay attention
to your life. Notice the people and events that are
happening around you. The Lord uses all of these to
give you support, guidance and courage for the struggles
you are facing.
‘Lord,
as we gather to celebrate your most splendid feast of
Easter, we thank you for allowing each of us to share
in the joy of your Resurrection, May we do our best,
be our best and give our best, to all who come our way
in life.’
