Reflection
Thanks a Million
I take my leave of you, the good people of Clones parish with a sad heart, but also
with a multitude of very happy memories
with a deep appreciation of all that I have received from you
with a sense of privilege at having been your parish priest for nine years
with a strengthened faith in God and hope in the future.
My memories of what you have done over those years are varied.
There was the Mass on Carn Rock,
and the Jubilee 2000 pageant in the Church
There was the magnificent renovation of Sacred Heart Church and Cemetery.
There was the special Mass in the Round Tower Cemetery forYear of the Eucharist
There was the approval of the two new schools and school extensions.
But I will remember especially
The Sunday and weekday Masses, and all
you good people and families at prayer
The Baptisms, weddings and funerals where
people celebrated God in their lives
The first Communions, Confirmations, and the wonderful
children and teachers
The choirs, cantors, readers, Eucharistic Ministers, servers,
collectors and helpers
The committees, and all caring, support, sporting and development groups.
The Christmas Masses, the Easter Ceremonies, the Missions and Confessions
Your wonderful generosity to parish, priests, Trocaire and many charities.
May you appreciate who you are and what you have. You are a people blessed by God
I will remember you with love and gratitude for the rest of my life.

Love
Yourself
We need to love ourselves. Accept yourself - love yourself
as you are, not as you might have been or might be.
Be kind to yourself and you will be kind to others:
let others be kind to you and you’ll be kind to
yourself. Allow others be compassionate to you and you
will look on yourself with love - and that’s how
God looks on you.
